Christopher K. Vick is an honors graduate from the University of
Montana where he received his Bachelor's Degree in History.
Prior to attending law school, he attended graduate school
in public administration at the University of Montana. He
received his Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree (cum laude)
from the University of Puget Sound School of Law.
Mr. Vick has been involved in personnel administration and
labor relations since 1978, practicing on both the
management and labor sides of the table. As a personnel
professional for both the State of Montana and City of
Seattle, he became a qualified expert regarding
classification matters and compensation issues. As a union
advocate, he represented over 2,000 City of Seattle
employees in a variety of matters, in contract
negotiations, contract administration, and proceedings
before the Public Employment Relations Commission. Mr.
Vick's practice has been devoted to public safety labor
law for a number of years. He has been extensively
involved in contract negotiations, contract arbitrations,
administrative proceedings and appearances in state and
federal court on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Vick serves as general counsel to most of the major
police guilds/associations in Washington and has extensive
experience in police law matters including the
representation of officers in Coroner's Inquests and other
use of force matters.
Mr. Vick is frequently asked to speak at local, regional
and national conferences on police law matters.
